Court to choose criticism suit against Meesha Shafi by April 15

A district and sessions court on Friday issued requests to choose criticism suit documented by Ali Zafar against Meesha Shafi by April 15, 2019.

A year ago, Singer-turned-performing artist Ali Zafar had documented a slander suit against pop star Meesha Shafi who had openly blamed him for lewd behavior.

Zafar had recorded a supplication a week ago through his insight before an extra district and sessions court, looking for transfer of his slander suit against Shafi in one month.

The suit, guaranteeing harms of Rs1 billion, was recorded under the Defamation Ordinance 2002. In the notice, the vocalist guaranteed Shafi harmed his notoriety through bogus charges of lewd behavior.

In his supplication for early transfer of the case, Zafar argued that Shafi and her legal advisors ought not be allowed any more intermissions which squander the court's valuable time. He further mentioned the court to choose the case inside the following 30 days as it had just been very nearly a year since the origin of the case.

In April 2018, Meesha Shafi had taken to Twitter to openly blame Zafar for physically annoying her "over and over". She tweeted, "This transpired regardless of the reality I am an engaged, achieved lady who is known for talking her brain!"

Then again, the Teefa In Trouble star had "completely" denied the charges and took steps to make legitimate move against the on-screen character. "I expect to take this through the official courtrooms, and to address this expertly and genuinely as opposed to hold up any allegations here," the artist had said on Twitter.
